In case of ticket booking failure ,you may see settled written in ticket/transaction status.
In this case IRCTC will refund your money within 2 weeks .
Note: But in 1-2% of chances your bank may approve your transaction late. In that case your ticket may be booked. So you need to recheck booking status after 5 minutes and then only try to book the ticket again.
And even not see the PNR number .
This Happen when your bank transaction goes to failed .
Sometimes the network becomes problematic at the time of banking transit,Due to which the money is debited from the bank account,but the ticket is not booked due to the failure of the transit .
If your ticket is not booked and your money is debited so IRCTC will refund that money .
