Identity Card/Proof Lost - how to travel in train now?

I've lost my identity proof at the Bangalore railway station and I have not left with any more identity proofs as I came here for vacation. I have an acknowledgement from Bangalore railway police mentioning about loss of PAN card , and my other documents. In this situation what can be done?

Please do suggest me as I have to board train tomorrow evening.

I hope you've filed F.I.R with Railway Police. Approach Station Manager or St. Superintendent and take a endorsement of your ticket if you know the PNR number of ticket.
You can now travel with your ticket with the endorsement as your ID proof.

This is required only for Tatkal tickets. For normal tickets traveling without ID card will not attract penalty unlike Tatkal tickets.
