Boarding Jan Shatabdi without ticket

I want to know if I can board Jan Shatabdi without having any tickets( platform, waitlisted etc).
What about when I board seats are available and in case no seats are available?

I need to commute daily to a college for time being and buses are sometimes too full.

There are two options for you:

• Take a platform ticket and go to the train guard and get authorization then get in the coach then you'll not be fined
• Take general ticket and then board the train. You'll be charged only the fare difference in case seat is there. If not then you'll be charged penalty of Rs. 250 and asked to get down at the next stop. In reality you won't be asked to get down .
