What is the difference b/w I ticket and E ticket..?

From IRCTC website you get only e-ticket. From PRS counter in the Railway reservation center you get a printed reservation slip from a clerk. This is I Ticket.

I ticket is very useful for them who have short time and travel frequently, i-ticket is just like a normal ticket which you get in any PRS. IRCTC website having both options of I ticket and E ticket you can book I ticket through IRCTC Once you book, they will courier it to the address given by you. E-ticket can book online through IRCTC and than ticket deliver at your Email address you have to take print out of that ticket and carry an ID proof with you while traveling. Unlike E ticket with I ticket you do not have carry your ID proof.
