Waitlisted tickets status

I have 3 waitlisted tickets no. 5/6/7 for 2A class on Bandra terminus/ Bhuj express in January. The status has remained the same since I booked the tickets in Oct. I want to know if the status changes before the charts are prepared. Also I want to know what my chances are of getting confirmed seats since the charts are prepared only 4 hours before train departs.What if I don't get confirmed seats on the day?.

What is the start/end stations, I can check the chances of getting confirmed ticket?

I guess you should be able to get RAC for 2A. There will be only one 2AC coach in most of trains and size of AC coach is 48. While the size of 3rd AC coach is 72. So number of cancellations will be more in 3A than 2A.
