IRCTC has upgraded the computer server capacity to handle upto 4 lack tickets daily from 1.2 lacs.
Also the booking capacity is increased from 1200 tickets/minute to 2000 tickets/minute which will soon be extended to 7200/minute.
It means if you now book Tatkal ticket online, it'll be easier than what was previously till today.
