Tatkal ticket procedure

i want to book Tatkal E-ticket but there is one problem if i booke WL e-ticket then can i cancel it ? And sir all so tell me about Tatkal ticket procedure.

You can book Tatkal E ticket after 12 am. If it is wait-listed then same cancellation rules apply as normal tickets. But if it is confirmed then you are allowed to cancel it online before chart preparation but total refund you'll get is Rs. 0. So there is no point of cancelling a confirmed Tatkal ticket.
